Post Up Your Sedan Re-Badge

So I re-badged again… quite a while ago I was logo only – but didn’t like the look of the emblem sitting up so high on the trunk… so I re-badge with letters on top and logo on bottom – my reasoning was that with OEM tails the trunk shape is “V” so I wanted the length of the lettering to be up with the widest part of the trunk and the logo on bottom where it narrows… most people just thought it was odd (but I like unique)…

So now that the tails are modded it was time for a re-badge again… but I use a coupe logo (no pins on back) and dropped the whole thing down so that the top of the emblem covers the 2 holes… it’s almost centered top to bottom – which look MUCH better IMO…

The GG stands for Grey Ghost (for those that don’t already know) and has been like that for long time (the GG has been off the car after tails painted – just put them back on today)…

Eventually, I’m shaving the trunk entirely and going badgeless… but I’m waiting to do a molded trunk lip (that will be very unique).

So post up ur re-badge

Edit: not until I posted this did I realize it looks like the emblem is little crooked - damn! Might need to do again

Crooked to the left? I wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't point it out. Still looking nice.

Not really feeling the tails. I dont like the overlays on sedan taillights, not my cup of tea, IMO.

Those look better though than the reverse lights covered up like Klubbheads did. His car is so hot from every angle then it gets to the back and its like barf (sorry man, just not feeling it.)

I still like just the mt fugi and regular tails un-messed with. Looks nice

they arent overlays... its paint over the entire OE lense... the LEDS blink (no top bulb)...

But the tails arent new anymore... there's another thread about them... this is a re-badge thread.

Post 'em up guys *I should of posted in picture share though

I'm pretty sure your eyes are messing with you... If I look at it, it looks off to the left, then it looks crooked to the right, then it looks smaller, yeah... best thing is to measure it before you rip it off and do it again.

I measured and taped off prior to install… the one problem with no pins is alignment – cant use a level of course because the car itself is not exactly level… and there isn’t really a good measure point from the side…

Every time I do something new I notice all the imperfections – then I get used to it or ignore and don’t notice anymore… like most of us I see things on my car that most people never notice.

Grey Ghost...he already said it in one of his posts.

Mike, leave the badge alone, it looks fine. Only you will notice something like that.

Looks good, but I'd prefer it w/o the GG

I agree. If you want to see a nicely-done G-sedan rear, find a pic of InTgr8r's old car.

FWIW, I stripped off my 'G35' recently to clean mine up a bit, but left the lettering and so-called Mt Fuji since I'm doggy door and it'd leave indents/holes.

the GG stays (untill I shave the whole thing, fill holes and mold trunk spoiler)...

Anyway - I was hoping this could be a shared thread of other re-badge/de-badge... so far its just comments on mine
