I agree, the last thing I want to do is street race, unsafe, and very costly on the insurance rates. I have a 6mt because I like to have total control on how my car is driven. If I need to upshift or downshift it's my call. I never have had a automatic and never will. I waited over a year just to get the G35 in a stick, and the thought of racing never entered my mind.

 

Three weeks with my 6MT sedan and about 600 miles in, it is utter perfection; exactly what I expected. I've never owned a auto trans, so manual was easy choice. Plus, I convinced myself that the MT would give me a little more control on those 2 or 3 days that it snows around here. I guess the tires (Bridgestones) are a little noisy, but I was prepared for that.
