You know, I never have driven a '04 TL, but did have a chance to check out the interior very closely at the auto show last week, it's nice, different from the G35, but not better, IMO! I'll keep my G!

The Acura was definitely designed inside out. The interior rocks. So do the amenities. Problem for me was after I turned on the key. I nearly fell asleep driving it on the test drive. It's front wheel drive configuration pretty much rules it out of the game from the beginning.
The G is definitely performance oriented, the TL is for the value oriented, amenity loving, quality loving person that you won't catch breaking the speed limit. The G is for the econo-minded BMW 330 lover that wants power, handling, and most amenities for the right price. Plus, the G looks like a damn sculputure sitting there. Anyone find themselves just sitting in their garage staring at it and pondering it's curves for hours? Thank goodness I have something to do now while I'm in the garage having my cigar.

Hehe all the TL's in Houston that like to race have found out their TL is slower than .1 sec. I dont even hit the spray for them.

They do make some good points. But RWD is sooo much
more fun than driving a FWD car! Many times I have wished
my Gs interior and seats were nicer. As a matter of fact,
I think the wife's Maxima has a nicer interior and is more
comfortable.

Have they looked at there own cars? I mean I think the new TL looks like garbage compared to the G...I think the TL is hideous.

Re: TL owners and what they are saying about our car..
I walked out of our office building the other day for lunch.
There were a couple of guys standing near my G35 Sedan,
talking to eachother. When I walked up to my beauty,
one of the guys said to me, "nice car!" Do they do that to the
TLs, or are they just so common and Accord like that they
don't warrant compliments?

I'm sure its a great car but that front end is something
else, it looks like a Mazda, I would imagine that will get dated
real fast. If I did not have my G I would definately look at one
but I do have a G so, I will just look in my rearview mirror

Re: TL owners and what they are saying about our car..
I totally agree with Catatafish. I actually like the interior of the TL but that wasn't my priority. Depends what you want. I prefer performance and IMO the exterior is dated. Acura was desperate to get this redesign out to compete with the G35.

Re: TL owners and what they are saying about our car..
After reading those posts, you've got to wonder the average age of the poster on the TL forums vs. average age here. I definately like the contrast here where we openly admit the TL and G35 are both great cars and should be test-driven and then selected based on the buyer's preferences. The TL forums are too busy slinging mud to sit down and accept the facts.
P.S. I'm perfectly happy with my G35X and have no regrets, whatsoever.

Re: TL owners and what they are saying about our car..
It seems most TL forum members put the highest priority on interior amenities and comfort. Let them have their blue gages and bluetooth. None of it can compensate for the loss of throttle-on oversteer.
