I'm not running a fleet car, but maybe I can help.

I sell Nissans in Indiana, so maybe it is different here. When we get Fleet vehicles here, they are ALWAYS for Enterprise or another rental agency. They are usually base models of whatever, like Sentra 2.0, Murano S AWD, Maxima 3.5SE cloth, ets. All auto all cloth.

I havn't seen any Infiniti cars whatsoever for rent, so I may be wrong about yours. It would be especially weird if yours is loaded.

FYI, ex-rentals are usually the cars you see used in the same model year first, like buying a used 08 Altima 2.5S base car with 20XXX miles on it 2 months ago from a dealership.

Hope that helps.

I rent from Enterprise almost weekly. I have gotten a few 05/06 G35 sedans and they're always well equipped minus navigation. Oddly, they've always been the color that Wannabe has I look forward to getting an 07/08 for a rental.

Oh, and yes fleet vehicle can mean many things like rental, dealership test driver car, loaner, etc.

My last car was an ex-fleet Lexus. Had lots of miles prior to purchase, and of course with high miles comes many wear-and-tear issues like belt changes, fluids, worn brakes, clogged throttle body, etc. I will never purchase another ex-fleet car again after that headache of an experience.

I think that would be a statement from just about everyone that ever drove a loaner... I wouldnt ever consider buying a previous loaner or a previous rental.

What does the carfax say for the orginial "type of owner"? Should say one of these: personal, lease, fleet, or coporate fleet. Fleet was likely a rental/loaner car, and corporate fleet was likely a shared company car.

When I bought my car a month ago, it was listed on a carfax vehicle report as being purchased at an auction as a fleet vehicle. I didn't know what a fleet vehicle was until after doing some research and became a bit skeptical. I contacted the dealership that sold me the car the next day and informed them of my concerns. They looked into this and contacted carfax. Half a day went by and then I got a call from the dealership saying the carfax report really wasn't accurate. The report was changed and the fleet vehicle details disappeared from the report. Kind of fishy if you ask me. Still wondering what my used G was driven as before me

Yes, lease, but probably not the kind of "lease" you're thinking.

Per www.is-it-a-lemon.com

A fleet vehicle can be a vehicle that falls into the following categories:

1. a vehicle that is owned by a company and listed under the company's name as owner
2. a vehicle owned by a rental agency, but listed as a fleet because they own more than one car
3. a vehicle owned by a company but driven by an employee either as a private car or a commercial car
4. a vehicle owned by a bank or financial institution as part of a lease portfolio, but leased to a private individual
5. a vehicle that is part of a dealer's inventory, which he or she in turn can bring to auction to sell
