Problem with Automatic Transmission

Hi Folks,

Recently been having a problem with my 2004 G35x, only 3500 miles. I was curious if anyone ran into a similar issue and if it was easily resovled. The manumatic does not work, it stays in D when I shift over to the right. Thats not to bad since I can still drive it, but the worse issue is that occasionally it locks into 1st gear (in normal driving mode) and won't shift up. I have to pull over and restart the car, at which point it works fine. This just started and it has only occured maybe three times. Thanks for any feedback.

Re: Problem with Automatic Transmission

Someone I know had the same problem as yours (will not shift out of 1st gear, and MM mode will not work, also his sport/comfort mode was not functional), but he has a 03 CL500. His TCM (transmission control module) was replaced, and he had leaking transmission fluid. However, when he restarted the problem didnt go away. I would either tow your G or have it looked at right away!
