Anyone Never Align an 03?

44k miles and never been aligned and I can drive a mile down a straght road with nary an input to the wheel.. Stay away from the curbs and don't dukes o hazard the thing and it will stay on track. I'm thinking another 10 years before it'll need an alignment.

Do you still have the same set of tires the car came with? My alignment was perfect, same as your's until I replaced all four tires with Hankook. Now the car drifts to the right all the time. It's not a big drift, just slowly drifting to the right. I had 2 alignments done already: the first one was done at a local Nissan dealer where I got the tires. The second was at a local garage. The car still wont drive perfectly straight. I'm thinking maybe I have a defective tire? The Nissan dealership thinks that I'm crazy or something because I took the car back 3 or 4 times about that problem and instead of trying to figure out the problem, they just told me "our alignment indicates that everything is aligning to specs"! I don't know what to do now.

Even if you tend to not hit curbs, parking blocks or whatever, your car will certainly come across various bumps and dips on the road, and over time, the car will most likely need an alignment since the suspension specs will stray away from the factory counterparts. An alignment is also good insurance for improving fuel economy, so getting a car aligned at least once a year is proper maintenance.

As as the car isn't pulling, the tires are wearing uniformerly, and you haven't jacked with the suspension, there's really no need for an alignment.

No need on this car. I remember the brochure even had a blurb about the alignment longevity. Something about the springs not coiling over the shocks. I would never pay the money to do alignment if the thing were perfect! Big money those 4 wheel alignments. And I use the extra cash to flush the tranny every 30 rather than 60k.

Also, theres a problem with those hankooks. The car should never get worse because of new tires. Unless the wear on the old treads was perfectly offseting the out of alignment...it guess it could happen.

Did they adjust the tie rods??? I am guessing you are very **** about your alignment like me and want the steering wheel dead center. I have not had an alignment done on our G, but I had to take our old car to Just Tires about 4 times (three to the same one then got fed up and went to a different Just Tires) for them to fix the alignment. The technician adjusted the tie rods to fix the issue.

I'm not sure if they adjust the tie rods or not. I'm thinking of taking it back to them and get the car alignment check out again. I'll mentioned the tie rod to them this time. So you think it's the tie rods?

I think it's gotta be the tie rods, because every time I took it in and they hooked it up to the machine, they said it was within spec. It would pull slowly to the right, and the technician at Just Tires tried to tell me it was because of the way the roads are curved. I got fet up and went to a different Just Tires, and the technician was able to fix it. Also, this was after I bought 4 new tires (just like you).

Since this is about the fourth or fifth time taking it back to the dealer, I would get the service manager and/or general manager involved and calmly explain your situation. The only thing I am hesistant about your dealership is, if none of the technicians ever bothered to check your tie rods, I don't know if I would want any of those clowns attempting to do it for the first time on my car.

Thanks for responding Kimbo. I going to drop the car off at the Infiniti dealer today. The Nissan dealer that I dealt with sucks, at least the service folks. It's Apple Nissan, by the way. I want to let everyone know about these scumbags. I guess, you have the same problem I'm experiencing right now. Hopefully, Infiiti can find the problem and fix it.
Wonders what loaner car they'll give me.
