1400 mile trip = 27mpg!

Steady state with cruise set 70-75mph most of the way. I wasn't expecting that but I'm MORE than happy to have gotten that.

Is this average? Above or below average? I never pay attention to the fuel mileage threads... lol

Texas is certainly a big state. I'll be heading there myself this Labor Day weekend

I'd say it's on the high side compared to what many get, but it's inline with what I see on fairly level terrain. I see anywhere from 25 to 29 mpg depending on cruising speed (65-75mph) and terrain (rolling hills to perfectly flat land).

27 sounds good at 70mph. The highest I averaged was 29.3 on a ~260mi trip from PA to VA.

Best that I've gottne is also 27mpg coming down from San Jose to LA on the 5fwy. Cruise control set at 78 the whole time. But now my commute to work? 22 is avg.
