12 MPG is 5.10 Liters/kilometer

That's how you do it...

Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

On my second fill-up, I calculated my MPG to be 22.2.
I drive mostly highway, and continue to baby it during the break in.

Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

I brought the car in to the shop today. Yesterday I started getting a clicking noise from the passenger side of the dash, so it was an even better reason to bring the car in. I'm pretty sure that's a relay that went out though.

They gave me an 2001 I30 for my loaner. I hate to say it, but that is the biggest piece of [censored] I have ever driven in my entire life. The car is WAY to uncomfortable for a guy that is 6'4" seeing that the steering wheel doesn't go up enough for me. Plus the car just feels like it's built cheap. I can't wait to get my G back.

She was photoshoped in

Back to the topic... I'm at 1/4 tank and i've gotten 256 miles so far. So I should hit well over 300 miles on my first full tank of gas. Being i'm to lazy to look it up in my manual, how big is the G35 tank again?

Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

300 miles?!? That's awesome!! I drive a G35 Coupe (don't know if the tank is smaller than a sedan or the same) and I barely get in 175 miles at the 1/4 tank mark.

With gas prices here in Irvine, California at $2.35, it cost me $33 to fill the tank... while it was at the 1/4 tank mark!! I think it would cost me close to $40 if it was totally empty. Very scary thought.

Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

I was just messin with you :P

I know the pics are real....

Wow, with a 20 gal. tank that means I'm only getting around 15 mpg ... That sucks big time.. you sure its a 20 gal. tank? I've seen big *** SUV's get 15-18 mpg. Were getting screwed... poor design... Nissan should of implemented better technology like Honda, so you can get good MPG and still have the performance.

Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

Remember hwen you are calculating your fuel rate that when your Empty light goes on you still have ~4-5 GAL left...

Whenever ive filled up and the E light has been on.. ive ly been able to get 16-17 gal inside of it.. 20 gal tank.. do the math

Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

Guys,

I took my Gi to Chicago for the weekend to visit my girl..also to break in the car. Racked up 800 miles in 3 days. So far with my NAV and actual mileage at gas stop. I'm averaging 24 MPG 80% Highway/20% City and got 27MPG on 100% Highway.

All I did was took it easy on the gas and keep my MPH around 65-80 during the entire trip on the Highway.

I think if you don't push it hard, then your gas mileage should be around 24 MPG.

Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

Ya I know i'm assuming my MPG will be crappy, but thats just after hearing what others have gotten... I'm still at 1/4 tank, soon as the yellow comes on, i'll divide the miles i've gotten by how many gallons it takes to fill up my car... Then will see I hope its better then 15 mpg... according to Infiniti, I should get between 20-27 mpg.
