Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

That's decent dude. I got 32 MPG (imperial) same as your 27 MPG US. with my G at 65-70 on the hwy. My Coupe won't come close to that.

Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

last i read the G's tank was only 18.5 gallons, but maybe i'm wrong, i've had the same problem though. On highway i get about 20-25, but on streets i get 12-18. Not too bad, but I thought I was supposed to get better.

Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

Ok, I just filled up for the first time, cost me $40

I only got 16.74 mpg this is really pathetic, I never took it over 4000 rpms and yet I get less then 17 mpg. My prelude with a supercharger got an average of 18 mpg.

Although all my driving has been around town, I should atleast average 20 mpg especially since i've yet to push it hard. I'm pretty disappointed in Nissan for there lack of engineering. If I wanted power with crappy gas milleage, I would of bought an domestic car. I would be less sore about this milleage if the car had more then 260 HP. Say 300 hp, then I could understand 16 mpg.

Only thing I can hope for is that breaking in the engine sucks up more gas, and once its broken in, it will get better mileage

Re: Bad Gas Mileage in my G

Well, I got the car back yesterday and they pretty much told me that it was my heavy foot that was getting me bad gas mileage. The drove it and got an average of 18.23 MPG. The clicking noise was not a relay going out, but my POSITIVE battery terminal cover that fell into the blower motor case. How it got there, I have no clue. While I was there, they "Performed G35 Headlamp campaign" where they put the caps on my headlight adjustment screws. I thought that was only for older models in Canada, but I guess I was wrong.

There was NO CHARGE for any of this work. They didn't even charge me the $5.00 maintenance fee for the loaner. I'm very impressed with Crescent City Infiniti for their service department.

hey guys,

i've asked my dealer, who owns an '05 AT g35 and he said that on the interstate driving 75mph he averages 27mpg! so i'm figuring that the MT should do better than that, with gentle driving of course.

anyone else gets better than 27mpg?

I even took out my Blitz intake and my Stillen Exaust to bring the car back to factory, but my mileage is still real bad. With the price of premium gas around here at $1.85 - $1.90 a gallon, this really isn't good at all. A tank is only getting me about 170 miles.

Now, I do have a tendancy to drive the car a little hard. I really can't help myself once I get behind the wheel, but I always have driven it hard. I'll be bringing the G into Infiniti on Saturday to let them check it out, but I wanted to know from everyone here, what kind of gas mileage are you getting? Has anyone else had the same problem I'm having?

Thanks!

Get under the car and check you fuel system...a single drop per minute leak can net you a loss of half a tank in just a few days....

My G has 750 miles and am getting 14-15 on city driving with lot of stop and go

Is that fine or does the mileage pickup after the breakin period.

I'm getting 14~19MPG for city driving, and I'm fine with it. I won't expect good mileage from a 3500lbs, AT, 3.5 Liter V6, 280HP sports sedan.

I'm enjoying every second in my 05 G35 man!!! 14MPG? no big deal! but bad to environment tho....

Some people lie so as not to make the G look bad. I had a nissan titan and on the forum it was the same thing. The truck is rated at 14/19 city/highway for the 4X4 and yet some people claimed to have gotten better than 19 MPG on the highway which is BS,I'd even bet my paycheck on it.

I don't think anyone should be calling others liars here, that is totally uncalled for!
