As a general rule of thumb you should never really go below 1/4 tank just to make sure you don't mess up your engine or any components of the fuel system.
In the G, the fuel light comes on at just under 1/4 tank. I wouldn't wait any longer than that to fill up unless you absolutely had to. Just not worth it
