Auto lock doors

Is there any way to program the doors to lock if you shift the car out of park or reach a speed of 10-15mpg?

Re: Auto lock doors

Only options are described below:

CONSULT-II APPLICATION ITEMS: Auto locking function
MODE 1: 1 minutes
MODE 2: Nothing
MODE 3: 5 minutes

None are speed related. Default is Mode 2, most likely to prevent keys being locked in the car.

... to Infiniti and beyond....!

Thanks. Just curious as I have a couple of kids and makes it safer in case I forget to lock the doors.

Re: Auto lock doors

interesting! i currently have python responder installed, and it shows me whether i locked the car or not (even if it's out of range - it just shows the last status update) - but i'm curious to see if i can enable auto-lock, but i don't want to do it through the responder. any clues?

When your car is off and key is out of the ignition, click the 'open' button on your remote. If the doors are not opened for the set time, they will auto lock.

Re: Auto lock doors

After you hit the lock button on the remote, the doors should auto lock after about a minute if no doors were opened.

Re: Auto lock doors

To clarify. Lock your doors.

Then, unlock your doors with the keyfob without opening them.

They will re-lock. Mine do after about 5 minutes.

so your saying i cant use that while im driving?...

Correct. The function that is being described only works with the car OFF, and when the doors have not been physically opened. It is not the same as a system that locks the doors after the car is started. For that, you need an aftermarket device.

Re: Auto lock doors

This autolock is designed to basically relock the car in the event that you accidentally unlock it.. say your keys bump the unlock button in your pocket.
