Re: I think I'm going to cry...

Damn, I was going to say that you should have called the cops before hitting the alarm. They had already messed up the car anyway. But then I remembered that you said you live in Miami, by the time the cops would have gotten there, if they ever did, would have been Never. They are too busy to respond to such calls.

SixFive.....lol

I think you would get more customers than thieves with a setup like that. Maybe you can charge people like $10 a walk by. The description gives good visual.

I don't think I'm going to make it that sensitive, but I will have proximity and a sensitive shock sensor.

I believe all Sedans with Leather do, but that's like 90-95 percent of them.

Re: I think I'm going to cry...

It's been known that people take Maxima lights out for their HIDs. I never knew it was possible to do it with the G35. Sorry to hear this happened to you.

It's still a G thang!!

I don't get why they steal the headlight assembly, it will only fit a G, right? I know they are expensive, but so is any headlight assembly on current day cars.

Well, If someone were to offer to me a cheap way to upgrade
my halogen G35 headlights, I might be inclined to purchase
them. Remember, they only became standard with the 2003.5
model.

Re: I think I'm going to cry...

fellas.. your not seeing the "big" picture.. I would guess 80 percent of G35 thefts are either for chop shops when people get into accidents or whatnot. Most want the D2R reflector bulbs and ballasts to retrofit them into their ricer hondas.

Man that truly blows!!! I seriously run down and pull my .45 Ruger on them and tell them to freeze till the cops got there.

Oh, I didn't know the 2003 had halogen, I never looked at the G35 until around this time last year!

Well, as far as the next post goes, if the damge them getting them out, what good are they for a body repair? Besides, I would think most G owners have insurance, right? Are the reflectors and bulbs universal fit? From what I have seen, just the bulbs are not terribly expensive.

Tgenius, this is terrible and I feel for you! You really can't have anything nice in this world without the 'haters' trying to mess it up, steal it, or try to make a $$ off of YOUR stuff. Says something for keeping a sword close by....or your choice of 'deterrent'. I want to apologize upfront, I just put up a post asking how to remove the bulbs, since I had one blow out, and I need to know how to change it. I did this before reading your post, and I don't want to seem insensitive, sorry.

Re: I think I'm going to cry...

My freind did exactly that and brought his gun out when they were trying to steal his wheels off his BMW. Long story short one of the four guys came after him, my freind shot him, killed him and recieved 25+ years. He had already called the cops and so they showed up arrested him. The sad part was, he had a family waiting for him inside and that was his last trip out the door.

Really a bummer, he just wanted them to wait until the cops showed up. Lost his whole life and he didn't even have time to think about it.

Re: I think I'm going to cry...

The plot thickens.. went to the heat game tonight (damn they lost, ) and one of my co-workers tells me that one of the people in my department (this person lives about a mile and a half from me) saw a sign in her condominium bulletin board to be on the lookout for a dark colored van/suv that was stealing lights... wow.. sounds VERY familiar.

I was just talkin with one of my neighbors, and he brought up a very good point:All the cars where I live are regular old beaters except mine and a 350Z. There's not much to take from, so I don't see them coming back, with the added weight that they almost got themselves ID'ed
