Is Inifiniti's Bra any good?? Asap

Am driving down right after work to buy the G35 Bra for the long road trips. Is Infiniti's Bra the best for $106 or am I missing something.

I am pretty disappointed at the bra I bought from Infiniti for
my G35 sedan! The piece for the hood tends to flap around
at highway speeds. Its diffiecult to secure the bra with our
fenders being higher than the hood. The first time I drove it
on a long trip, it flapped so bad that it scratched the hood.
Get a clear bra instead if you can afford it. I ended up hot
gluing black felt to the bottom of the edge to keep the POS
from scratching.

Mine fit snug as a bug, and didn't even have the most minor vibration, let alone a flap. Make sure you let it sit in the sun for a while before you put it on your car-- makes it more pliable. If you attach it 100% as per instructions, and snugly, it shouldn't flap.

I followed instructions to the letter. The hood part starts
fluttering in the center at high speeds. If it were not for
that, it would be OK.
BTW I bought mine directly from Infiniti.

vids,
I suggest you invest in a clear bra...you don't have to remove on and off and no annoying flapping sound...

Can't risk it, I have heard the following:

1)Exacto knife marks when removed
2)Orange Peeling
3)Yellowing
4)Edges Showing
5)$500-$700

I have 11K miles on my G with only 3 small chips which could have been taken care of by a colgan bra. I would probably do the clear bra if it was $350.00 and I knew someone in San Diego whom was recommended. At this point I'd rather just repaint it if it gets too bad and put the bra on for long road trips. I just can't risk it unless I find a HIGHLY recommended installer.

I'm a believer in just getting a quality repaint of the front bumper to begin with Since I've had mine repainted, zero chips. I also kept a constant layer of CG on it. Before I discovered CG, however, my bumper chipped up the old paint.

1)Exacto knife marks when removed - usually u do a pre cut first then u put it on..
2)Orange Peeling - dunno y u would remove it for..
3)Yellowing - duno about this one..
4)Edges Showing - only on dark color cars..
5)$500-$700 - if u do it urself, it could cost around 300 bucks..

I would go with a clear bra, but too each its own...

If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, e-mail Jeremy@Invisiguard, he does you right on a clear bra install, knows what he's doing, and it's lifetime guaranteed.

1) The bra material is pre-scored and the installer cuts it out before installing (should be no Exacto knife near your car).
2) True, there was an "orange peel" look to the first editions of these bras, but technology has improved and "orange peel" no more!
3) Same as #2 - the problem has been corrected. Another improvement is that they are thicker now (and therefore, even more durable), as well
4) Edges only show on my black '04 G35 Sedan when dust has settled heavily - dust seems to be more "attracted" to the clear bra's vinyl material, at least until you wax it (I haven't yet).
5) About $500, +/- $50 or so, and depending upon if you want the headlights and mirrors done, too.

Car looks great always, washes easily and bugs/stuff come right off, rocks bounce off like it's Superman's chest. I have 8 other cars, several with vinyl or leather bras - this is the best product like this I've ever seen - and the absolute FIRST mod I'd recommend to anyone (it's like filling your new house with all the newest gadgets, but failing to apply a protective coat of paint to the outside, so that despite your interior mods, the exterior looks like Sh*t in a few years).

Just my humble opinion.

well just in case you're still thinking of going with a black bra....

The Colgan is better than Nissan's, lasts longer, fits better, costs less. You can't lose. My first Nissan bra for my old Maxima cost $119 and held up for about 10,000 miles. Ordered a Colgan for $99 and it went 20,000 with no signs of wear/stretching. I now have a Colgan for my G, and it's awesome.

"2)Orange Peeling"

Have you checked out our paint job? It's full of orange peel! The clear bra can't be any worse than what's already there...

I'm not against trying the clear bra, I'm just getting down on doing all this R&D and spending more and more money on a brand new cars flaws. To tell you the truth it makes me want to sell it and just buy a car that works as advertised!

After this whole paint fiasco I'm considering selling the G and buying an older Mercedes with a bullet proof paint job!
