So anyway, I have a black/black 2003.5 G35 sedan 6MT with 21000 miles on it. Been baby this thing with nothing but Mobil1 oil diet, change oil at 700 miles. Anyone interested pleast PM me. I'm just looking for some reasonable price, I base my price usually on edmund.com pricing.

Thanks, got it. Need to take some pics though. Well I'm thinking of getting her the FX. But not sure 2003 or 2004 FX45. 2003 has some steep discount going on right now I may get that. Opinion?

In all honesty, the 45's sort of a waste of a lot of cash. It's a big jerky of a ride, compared to the silky smooth ride of the 35. We drove both extensively, money wasn't an issue, and landed on the 35 instead. But to each his own-- I just think the FX was made for the 35 engine, and they added the 45 to its body. Only what, 20hp diff?

Thanks for the insight, I'll take a second look at the FX35. I do love the VQ .

 

We also have a 2003 Infiniti FX35 loaded with the Prem, Sport, and Tech package. Our 2-year old loves the DVD player ;-) and all the other cool features are great. My wife's fav is the Intelligent Key System; no fumbling for keys. Plenty of power...280HP and 280 lb/ftTorque (vs. 315HP for the FX45) and it sounds just like the G35 Coupe and 350Z...must be the stock twin exhaust and Z Tube??? The handling is excellent and the ride is a bit stiff but not too bad on the 20" wheels. Our only gripe is the lack of space in the rear for extra stuff - strollers, baby bags, groceries, etc. Take it for a spin...you might think you're back in your G35 (except slower off the line due to it's 4,000+ lb weight) with a few extra high-tech goodies ;-) Very cool machine!!!

bsgoren, do you have a lower passenger seat problem that I heard some freshalloy members complain about for the 03? I"m actually excited now getting the FX . I will missed the 6MT that's for sure, today I was driving in 4th at around 4000 rpm and then down shifted to 3rd, blimp the throttle, snap the clutch and boom I Zooom to another lane, damn that's a good feeling. Argghhh.....
