lol dont worry i aint driving the car to work tomarrow or sunday till i get new brakes and get the service engine light checked, and i dont need new rotors mechanic said they were fine and he didnt charge us anything since him and my father are friends but the place we bought from is going to replace the pads

You want to read the manual (get one if you don't have one) and read up on the other warning lights and everything else about your car. I've known people to drive their cars that were overheated to the point the engine seized, ignoring warnings. If you have zero brakes in the front, do not drive it 40 miles. What if you had to emergency stop for some kid crossing the street? You are smart enough to join a very good forum and ask for advise. You'll learn more about your car, and keepiing it in good condition. After you have your brakes fixed, enjoy a very fun car to drive!
