Question for sedan owners on coupe springs
Question for sedan owners on coupe springs
I have done several searches over the past months and have learned a lot! Thanks to everyone on this forum. I also know this subject has been beat to death so I apologize for re-hashing it.
I decided on coupe springs and struts for my 03 non-sport sedan. My main goal was to go from non-sport suspension to sport suspension. With the coupe springs I get a mild drop which is icing on the cake.
Most posts here say .5 inch drop all around. I suspect most of these people have no actual experience and are just repeating what they have read on here. I found some posts that sounded very specific saying the front drop is .6 and the rear drop is .8. For you guys running this setup, is it really .6 up front and .8 in the rear? If so I may get the Energy Suspension spacer for the rear to "correct" this. I assume my local shop will know what to do with them.
Anyone have pics of coupe springs all around? Any with the energy spacers? I have done several searches for this too and not found many.
Thanks,
Rob

Each car is different. Some drop it .5 some drop it .8... it's just a matter of your car. I have z suspension on my sedan now, but I have running coupe springs in the rear. It gave me a .75" drop.
Sorry I didn't respond to you PM. I will try and find pictures of my car with coupe springs all around. When I took measurements, it was .6" in the front and .8" out back. The drop in the back looks good, but the drop upfront still wasn't enough. Honestly, it was hard to see the difference. I'll see what I can dig up.
IMO, go with Z springs up front and coupe springs out back. You'll be a lot happier. The ride is the same and the look is far better. It's crazy how much just an extra ~.5" drop improves the front.

I have a feeling if you end up installing the coupe springs on all fours, you won't be happy w/the result because it will be minimal, but that's just my opinion.

. Coupe springs for less than 1/2 tank of gas = GOOD DEAL!

Thanks for the info. I guess I will start with coupe all around and see how it looks. Can always modify from there if needed. If any of you come across some good coupe all around pics please let me know. I will continue to search on here. I don't have a huge gap to fill since my tires are a little larger. ~1.75 up front and ~1.25 in the rear.
Z front / Coupe rear on coupe 19s. REMEMBER the coupe rear tires are a touch larger than oem and the coupe front tires are a touch smaler than oem. That affects the fender gap appearance.
