Ok guys, here's the scanario. So I'm sitting in my car during lunch just looking around, and I noticed my seatbelt area (side plastic area) was dirty. I decided to slide my seatbelt to the upper most position to take a good look at what needs to be cleaned this weekend. Well slide it back down to it's original position and now my belt is locked. I said ok, give it a little and it will unlock itself, not quite. Ok two hours later I'm going home and thought well it would be working by now, no luck yet. I decided to slam on the brake a couple of times, since this is when the belt is supposed to lock up, and still it's locked. I know it's a mouth full but now you understand the problem. Help? Anyone?

Did that a few time and that's why it strikes me as odd. Quick grabs normally lock it up while slow smooth pulls tend to work, but not this time. I'll keep trying. If not off to the dealer i go and maybe get my hands on a 08 Loaner

 

Maybe it got twisted up when it was reeling itself back in. Try removing the panel that covers it and see what is up.

 

problem resolved by just constantly trying. Glad i did not have a run in with a MP or he/she won't have bought my story. Thanks for trying everyone, all 3 of you (lol)
