Thinking of changing my setup.

I have a couple of options, and im basically looking for performace over sound.

1) stock cats, stock y-pipe, tanabe catback
2)Stillen HFC, stillen gen 2 catback with x pipe
3)Stock cats, stillen y pipe, tanabe catback.

My setup right now is tanabe catback, stillen y pipe and stillen hfc. I hate the sound its making. what would you guys recommend for least amount of rasp, drone, and just basically fun to drive.

There are dozens of other options for your sedan setup... unfortunately most involve buying some component you don't yet have.

Best setup IMHO for sedans
1. 05-06 y-pipe + mid pipe plus HKS rear with Berk HFC
2. Borla full exhaust BERk HFC
3. Borla Full exhaust Crawford HFC
Stillen is nice but expensive and most people dont like the sound the exhaust will make.

Stillen is having a sale right now on Gen 1 and 2, less than a grand. Gen 2 is "supposed" to be much quieter without HP loss.

Your option one, are you talking the OEM midpipe resonator?

What are the "Berk" HFC? Link?

Thanks,

Stillen Gen2 is the best way to go. It sounds like heaven, you're the first person I've heard say doesn't sound good or someone doesn't like the sound. I'm buying one for myself for Xmas . Will go good with some HFC's, but I've never heard of Berk. Are they on the cheaper end quality wise??

OP, what X pipe do you need? The Stillen Gen2 is a full exhaust, all you need is a pair of HFC's.

Keep your y-pipe and HFC's. Sell the tanabe exhaust, get a coupe mid-pipe and HKS muffler. It will sound GREAT, I guarantee it

The tanabe really sounds badass just by itself. you might want to get Hfc, but keep the stock y pipe, so rasp isnt a issue

definitely HKS muffler, I just got one and it sounds incredible, and with your setup you wouldn't have my problem, I just wish it was louder heh
