How many miles on the car, maybe you need new spark plugs?

Lol the raspy is from your hfc, most likely along with your black smoke

vivek

a tune will help with gas consumption if you are running rich

if you haven't changed the spark plugs in your car yet, you need to do that. Also, you need to do it before you get to 70K miles so that you can make sure you don't have the valve leak like a lot of people have had. It would be on the rear cylinders as you pull out the plugs. Go do this if you haven't. at 70K you are out of powertrain warranty and would have to pay for this out of pocket.
