weird. I just opened up my headlights and painted them about a month ago.

I am now in the process of sanding down and polishing the lens. I have to do multiple layers.

If you have HID then the color of the headlights will be white/blue while your fogs/highbeams will be yellowish. If not then BOTH will be yellowish.

Ok I'm confused. Can these eBay lights fit 03-06? I thought the fit for 03-04's was different than the 05-06. Also, shipping is $45 from Cali? That's a rip-off.

Do these come with bulbs? My feeling is no, but they look good with the black housing. Can anyone post a pic of your car with a housing that's black on the inside? I might want to look at that as a possibility.

Thanks guys.

^ 03-04 are completely different from 05-06. It doesn't matter what they say on ebay, etc... it still won't make them fit 03-06 (unless you have a coupe). Keep in mind that they're trying to sell off whatever inventory they have... The most noticeable difference between 03-04 and 05-60 is the steps on the silver bezel for 05-06.

If you can see the rear of the headlight housing, you can tell right away that they are xenon or not by the upper cover... non xenons will have wires running through the cover like the cover for the H4 bulb down low, while xenons have a ballast on the bottom and run the wiring through the inside of the housing.

Not only that, HIDs will take a second to warm up. So for the first second after turning them on, you'll see a bit more color with a dimmer illumination. You will never get that with regular halogens.

I kinda like how they look when they first turn on. They look bluer.

After they warm up they look like crap. I really need some 5K or 6K bulbs.

Also, the 05/06 lights eliminate the "city light" and replace it by using a dual filament bulb in the turn signal which then acts as a parking light.

I want to mod my headlights myself but i need some temp headlights since I want to take my time and do it nice. Unfortunately I need my car everyday, and i drive at night, so i need headlights every day

PS: I think the only year for Halogen headlights on a G35 is 2003. After that it became standard....right?

Yeah, that's another ebay blooper. They only fit 03-04. They DO bring the bulbs though.
