Dumbest Question ever........

The dumbest question ever, is about to be asked by.....ME. I know what car I bought, a 2006 G35 Sedan, and for the most part am learning more everyday about it. My question is this, how can you tell if your Sedan is sport or no-sport? Is it just in springs cause I don't know anyone else with either a sport or non-sport. The spoiler on the back, Navi, etc? I really would like to gain some closure cause I wanna buy E.prokit springs and I want to make sure I don't have a sport model, buy them, and the rid feels like cr@p. I don't have Navi, or factory spoiler, and I don't know what else would make it sport. What I do have is factory bluetooth, sunroof, power everything, auto windows all around, and that's about it. Please help this poor simple noob see the light,

If the shocks in the back are red, it is a sport.

So i was stuck in traffic yesterday and I noticed my dashboard display near the clock said WNE. Then this morning it went between WNE/NES/ESW multiple times during a 10 minute drive. Both times this happened the other display said the passenger airbag was disabled. I'm not sure if this is the oil consumption problem stated in the other thread....because i recently started hearing the the rattling noise as well, but anyone know what the aconyms on my display mean?

Heres one, I don't have red shocks in the rear and my mechanic had one hell of a time trying to find brake pads, then finally they came up with that I had a sport model, is there anything else that can tell the diff. beside's the shock in the rear.
Thanks

Your car would have come with the 18"x7.5" split 5 spoke rims. They look similar to the 19" coupe rims in every way, but size. The shocks is the key indicator because rims are an easy change and most people do not go from non sport to sport suspension. They usually go with a coupe or 350z setup, or something aftermarket.

Brake pads have nothing to do with sport or non sport. All rwd sedans, 05-06, had the same size brakes. They were probably trying to put brake pads for an 03-04 on or, possibly, trying to put coupe pads on.

ok cool, I read in another forum on here that the fx share the same pads as the 05-06 sedan. I just bought the pads at Pep Boys and had my guy install them, then he called me saying that I bought the wrong pads and that He bought pads for a sport and they worked???

Maybe I got bam-boozuled on the deal, Im asking because my pads in the front squeak and I can't stand it. Im going to get some Hawk Pads from work here, I just hate buying the wrong parts. Thats the 3rd time I was sold wrong parts from Pep boys on Beach Blvd. I told them 2006 G35 sedan 3.5l rwd.

Thanks again

We have our share of dumb questions--- what we don't have is a shortage of idiotic behavior. We have guys that street race, guys that don't seem to learn from multiple speeding and reckless driving tickets, guys driving with suspended licenses. We have guys that buy a salvage car and then ask the forum if it was a good idea, and we have an entire thread devoted to insulting a guy selling an ACURA on another forum. Bottom line, I'd rather see a silly question than some of the behavior many of us brag about here.

Good luck with your G and welcome to the forum! And ignore those that act like this guy:
