What features do you want from the I-Key? You have most of them already with your current fob...

+1 no kidding. Spending money to convert your car to use a smart key is a waste of $ IMHO.

There is a thread on here somewhere about adding the push-button start button from the '07 and up Altima to a G, but I don't remember the year of the G that was the subject of the thread. It might have already had I-key. Check that out.

You can still put your windows down with your remote and stuff. Whatever you decide to do, good luck!

Adding a Smart-Key to the 04 would be about as practical as "**** on a boar hog!" Of course, many of the mods and add-ons people boast about have the same practicality, appeal and ego-gratification as the very fashionable, men's 3" platform shoes in the mid 1970's.

If you want to be able to start your car without a key, I have a Viper Alarm/Starter Combo installed in my '04 and I don't need a key to start my car w/ that setup.

If you're looking to not have to insert a key into the ignition (but you still need to carry the FOB on you), then I guess a conversion is needed.

Good luck.
