Did I hurt my G last night?
Did I hurt my G last night?
Yesterday we had a blizzard roll through our area (-12F,Wind 25 to 30mph Gust 40mph, Visibility 0) Anyways I had to drive thru a lot of it and it wasn't so bad, never really had a problem with getting thru anything bellow 8-12 in of snow. Well during the evening it began to let up so I decided to drive over to a buddies house. When I got into the parking lot I got stuck
So I get out to check out the problem, the driver side front tire is buried the rear driver side tire is sitting on a nice sheet of ice and the passenger side front is buried and the passenger rear is clear.
I get back in and kick on the snow mode, turn of the vdc and throw it in Reverse, I get about an inch of movement back and then it spins... I try to get it going Forward and it goes no where. I jump back out and take my ice scraper (only thing in the car to use as a tool) and dig out the tires a bit. I jump back in and try Reverse again, and I get a little more back motion so I go back to drive and rock it back and forth but I wasn't being ruff on it or anything like that ...yet. While I was doing this an old doge dart squeezed by me headed for the other entrance/exit well after about 10 min of me trying different things to get my G out the dart comes by again but this time he cant fit by since I rocked the G over a bit. After about 5 min of him watching me rock it back and forth he jumps out to give me a push, well I really got on that bitch and and rocked it hard never grinned a gear but I was ruff on it trying to get it to rock out, after a nice hard one in Reverse it came out and I got out of the lot. My question is could I have done any damage to the tranny or differentials? BTW I have Summer tires still on the G, I ordered blizzaks but they have yet to come in.

Don't make sense that an X model would do that.

Not really going to move if all 4 wheels are spinning because of the summer tires
