Hey all - bought my car used and as is often the case a couple little things were missing. Anybody know where I could find the insert for the ashtray and cupholder? I know the cupholder ain't worth a damn but I wouldn't mind having it, and I don't want to buy a whole new console just to get it, which is what the dealer told me I'd have to do. I have the 6MT and so my console's a little different, making matters worse, but any tips would be appreciated.

My coin tray was stolen out of my car a couple of months ago along with $300.. (no not in change) .. but my girlfriends mom drives the G and she just gave me the tray.. why dont u ask around people who dont use the ashtray and what not.. you may get lucky

 

Part of it is that I don't even know what was in the ashtray. My girlfriend's Altima has a nice soft insert that is perfect for storing change (neither of us smoke) and I would rather have that than an actual ashtray, but perhaps it was just a plastic ashtray, in which case I dont really want one of those. The cupholder's a different matter though. Even though I hear it sucks it'd be better than the bare plastic tray that's there now.

 

My 5AT X has a plastic ashtray insert. I tried using it for coins, but they would bounce and make noise. Now i just leave it empty

 

get an early model FX cup holder... they fit and are designed slightly different - they hold bigger cups (and bottles)... problem is they don’t sell just the insert (you have to buy the entire assembly)... they (dealer) DO however sell early G inserts separately

 

The ashtray is plastic... and idk how her ashtray has a soft material??? if u put out a stog in it wont it melt away?? also the ashtray is way to small to collect coins in.. i just use my tray in the console for coins.. after its full.. thats $40 bucks at the coin star and some gas money =)

 

LOL. That's what I do. I know people that hate change and give it away or toss it....but that's a free tank of gas after a few weeks

 

The altima one is covered in the same material that the coin holder in the center console. I dont think it's made to be an ashtray, you probably have to order the smokers package for that. I dont know where she keeps her stogs when she's cruisin'...

 

I have the ashtray insert if you want it, don't use it I have an ipod dock in there
