I have a 2005 G35x I can not afford springs now due to finances right now but what would look the best as far of sizes of rims without a drop and what tires would you put on it. If you have pics that would be great. I am looking at the TORK imagine rims. Would 20s look good without a drop and would there be alot fo wheel gap? The tires that come with the set are 245/35/20 Does anybody know how thick of a tire that is as well and will it ride well.I was also looking at the Lenso LS37 wheels in 20.Registered User

and i have never head of those before. and yes you will have a sizable wheel gap once mounted.

Your stock wheels are 215/55/17's and are 26.3" in diameter, the 245/35/20's are 26.8" in diameter. It's a 1.7% difference so your speedo will be 1MPH off at 60MPH.
I'm also an ex-Mustang owner. Traded my GT in for my '06 G35x. I still have a Mustang though...a Fox body 5.0 LX.

Alright from my experiances with bigger rims.. I use to have a Chevy Tahoe and i put 22" Veloche Villanos.. 
And 3 months later my tranny was going.. i got vibrations all throughout the car.. basically the rims were twice as a heavy as stock.. the diameter was huge compared to the 16 plastics.. the tahoe wasnt re calibrated for the new rims.. a locally rim shop by me advised me to stay away from 19" cause its a weird size for sedans.. and 20".. well their heavy.. your car is gonna be significantly slower... I would bump the size to 18" instead of stock 17" but make sure the weight is around the same.. or if you wanna be safe.. go for the 19" M style wheels...

I agree. 19" is as big as i would go but it's a unique size so your tire choices may be fewer. 18" is common so you can find a huge selection.

Thanks for your help. I know people say that there will be a huge fender gap but approx how many inches are they talking about. I do not want my sitting on the rims anyway. Why not get a set of springs before getting the wheels? It would be quite a bit cheaper than wheels/tires and would look much better than having an aftermarket set of wheels without a drop.
I have to agree. I would rather have the performance gains of lowering and oem wheels/tires than heavy wheels and stock height. To each their own, just my $0.02.

You lose A LOT of tire going with 20's, meaning ride quality is suffered.

not only ride quality but the thinner your tires.. the more shock your car chassi has to endure.. the bigger the tires , the smaller the thickness of your tires , the more you feel every crack in the road.. and i live in jersey.. so i know anyone within the Tristate knows how much of a pain it is feeling every crack.. as far as springs or rims... thats up to you.. we can only give u advice.. we can't make your decisions..
