adding underbody diffusers

I want to add the rear underbody diffusers that come with the factory $500 aero package ( rear wing ). Does anybody know the part numbers ? Can they just be bolted on or is special hardware necessary.

Thanks

Re: adding underbody diffusers

I always do a search. And like usual it's completely FUTILE !

What pops up is a million posts with nothing to do with my question. For example Cato has diffusers listed in his sig so every one of his posts came up in my search qwery.

Like myself and so many others have said before, the search function is useless. It's almost better at finding what you DON'T want !!!

Re: adding underbody diffusers

No special tools. 10 mm nut driver or facsimile thereof. Even a Phillips screwdriver will do the job. There's like 14 of them on the front diffuser piece and a little pop rivet thingy that's reusable. Can't imagine the diffuser costing too much. It's just a big piece of plastic that covers the underbody parts.

Reminds me, time to change the oil.

Re: adding underbody diffusers

Dan... I did a search on the Diffusers, and yes, CATO rules the search results with his sig, so i just ignored all his posts in the subsequent pages.

here is a link to one post that includes pixes and part numbers if you look real close. careful, as I am not sure if it is for a coupe or sedan, as I took the time to find the post, I didn't take the time to actually read it.

I came away with a couple of posts from folks who just called their dealers and got them for around $80. There are two on each side... one in front and one behind each wheel.

I would recommend checking with your Infiniti parts dept. As it is a package option, i am quite sure they will be able to quote you a $$ amount.

Cheers, ted

Re: adding underbody diffusers

Hmm, 4-pieces - one in front and one in back of each rear wheel? I thought there was ony 2 pieces, one in front of each rear wheel as in this pic.

Re: adding underbody diffusers

I got the impression from the other pics that the diffusers are the smaller black plastic pieces just aft of the shiny pieces indicated in the pic above.

Re: adding underbody diffusers

dholly, I don't think those are the diffusers being discussed. The diffusers that come with the aero kit are the black plastic pieces just behind the black panels you've highlighted in the picture.

Re: adding underbody diffusers

The diffusers posted in the link above were off a G35 coupe.
p/n - 74586-CD800 and 74587-CD800 ($20.71ea)
The sedan ones are 74586-AM600 and 74587-AM600 ($28.18ea)

It kinda looks like the diffusers are in that picture though, right behind the metal parts labeled as a diffuser.

Re: adding underbody diffusers

Yeah, we can order (or we stock) all the OEM parts for Nissan or Infinitis, in addition to everything on the website.

By golly Steve you are correct. Not sure where I jacked the pic from but I guess I never really looked at it close enough. Thanks, I fixed 'er up.

Re: adding underbody diffusers

Yup, those are the ones. I have a buddy at work with the aero package on his sedan. The diffusors are pretty small and seem to be two pieces per side - one mail piece and a smaller one that hangs down near the jacking point. The nice thing is that all the mounting places are already there.

Now I know what to look for.

Thanks,

Re: adding underbody diffusers

Justin,

Is it 2 parts or 4 parts for the rear diffusers? Are there any other parts (screws, pop fasteners, etc.) that will also be needed? Let me know asap so I can order it up from you guys.

Thanks
