is there any way to fix this?

hey guys i got some used dc ceramic headers. it has a dent on one of them. do you think that i should weld it? or just leave it the way it is. i checked the headers and there are no cracks or leaks. let me know what you guys would suggest thanks.

If you try to fix it you will propably scrape the seramic coating and you do not want to do that. Also they may did it (The dend) in order not to rub to something close to the header.

Agreed... trying to weld or repair the ceramic may end up exposing the material underneath. Not worth it. From the pictures it's hard to tell, but is the dent such that it could restrict airflow, which could result in unbalanced exhaust pressure. Would this undo the potential power gains of the header?

I would also recommend dyno-ing after header install. But first disconnect the battery to reset ECU to clear the fuel trims.

Like above, before you do anything, check if it's a clearance issue. You may be able to remove it with a torch and dry ice.

Doesn't look bad enough to restrict airflow

yea i was thinking the same thing. the only concern is that i dont want the headers to crack or leak in the future. i plan on keeping this car for sometime so dont want to go through the hassel of changing headers again. the DC's are carb legal as well. do you think the headers will pass smog along with kinetix hfc
