just finished the install, my setup is now complete.
the HR Y pipe is no joke.....it is worth every hype!!! the VQ exhaust note after the y pipe is even more defined.....IMO as close to the coupe/fx as possible.....i am 200% satisfied with my change.
when it starts.....it just warble a bit with that sexy note and just idles clean like a performance car should but no humming or droning. once you get on it.....it gradually increases in exhaust note and warble. Until you get past 3500 rpm all the way up to WOT....it just screamsssss!!!! I'm not going to brag....it is the best subtle at low rpm yet sporty sexy sounding sound I've heard in a sedan.....and it suits what I am looking for 100%!. no more drone AT ALL.....and it comes alive just how I like it. I will have a sound clips soon.....but now I am so excited i cant wait till tomorrow morning when I drive again.
OMG.....its just that good......the HR y pipe is a piece that's worth every bang. I think it makes my crawford plenum just that much more supplemental and everything just fits together perfect....and the throtlle response is awesome too. there isnt a lag when you get on it.....it's just a steady powerband through out. It just further proves how restrictive the DE y pipe really was.
setup: 2004 sedan, Z tube + crawford plenum + HR y pipe + 04 coupe mid pipe + 06 Sedan muffler.
