Good car covers?

My cars going to get detail in a week. I want to keep it clean but its an outdoor car. So i need a car cover. I heard car covers can be bad if not use right or if its bad quality.

So what's a premium cover that ranges from 0-200 dollars. It must be protect UV, dust, molds, weather and etc.

I was thinking of going with OEM cover but thats 250 and not sure if thats even better than the cheaper 3rd party ones. Recommendations? what do you use?

covers are only good for long term storage, indoors or out. if you get a detail, drive the car around, get dirt on it and pull the cover on and off, you will scratch the paint.

fitted covers are what you want. They are custom made to the shape of the vehicle so when you put them on, there is no loose material to blow around at all.

This is what i have for my other vehicle. It's a fitted cover from Evolution. I've used it indoors and outdoors and have had it for 10 years and it's still in good shape. I've seen it on windy days and none of the material moves at all. The car is also black, and there have not been any significant scratches at all from it.

I have one from Covercraft (universal fit for most makes/models) bought from Advance Auto. Used it one time during my month-long vacation two years ago. Held up well in all weather conditions, and has a strong elastic band at the bottom to keep fit with the car.

I've considered getting a cover... I really need to, it just sites in the garage 95% of the time - and even freshly detailed, its dirty/dusty by the time I drive it.

Infiniti has a cover that is made for the sedan - that's what I will get (one of these days)... I think its $250-$300? not sure.

Car covers worth it....hell yes!

I've been using carcovers since the mid-80s, used on a regular basis they will
save your paint and interior. If you purchase the "right" cover it will never
scratch your painted surface. But I wouldn't put it on if your car is filty....that's just common since! I buy only California Car covers made with
Noah which are guaranteed for 4 years and cost around than $200. After
a few tries you will be able to get the cover on or off in less than 3 minutes
so using it isn't a time consuming. Once you've found the mirror pockets it's a snap....you'll see what I mean....www.calcarcover.com

Giv me your opinion on this.

My car's going to get detail soon. It's 24/7 outdoor car so i want to get an ez going on and off cover for every night usage and for rain/snow. I live in NJ where we get tons of sun but some heavy rains and mild snow.

I was thinking of getting the covercraft block 200 serie which cost around 140ish.

read your reviews of the Noah. seams promising, will look that up. But a question, so it's not ok to use the cover daily every night because of dirt?

I figure why cover the car if it is covered in road salt or slush in the winter. I would not want to cover it then. In the summer, if it is really dirty then I would not bother at that time either. I like to use it when my car is clean and I want to keep it that way. I love my cover, I don't think you can get a better one for outdoor use.

what if you have some tomcats jumping onto your car? Sliding down the hood towards the bumper with claws digging into paint seems like a lot of fun.

This is not my car, but someone on the www:

I have 4 huge cat claw scratches on my hood.
I recently moved here and i have to wait 3 months to obtain a license to build a garage here since it's over 100 years old. Long story short, I forgot to put the cover on my car 2 nights in a row and my hood is now clawed like ****. It's pretty deep scratches since we can see the white paint to the metal DAMNIT.
