Should I get a G35 Sedan

I'm a current Z owner and need a winter car. Should I get a G35 AWD Sedan? Is the premium package worth it? Any comments would be appreciated. I live in VT therefore I need AWD.

The AWD is great! I really like it. Reminds me of the 328i I used to drive. As for the Premium Package, although I have it on mine, but you really don't need it if you are just using it for snow days. My 0.02

I have the rwd G35 and in the winter I use Blizzaks.Outstanding traction,I get lots of snow in the Pocono Mountains and did not have a single problem.

Re: Should I get a G35 Sedan

if you're thinking of getting a g35x ... i recommend you hold out til the 2005 comes out. i personally think the interior of the 2004 is better but the increase in hp to 277 from 260 and the addition of the aero front spoiler is pretty tempting.

my 2 cents.

Re: Should I get a G35 Sedan

I would not buy a G at all, they're crap, in fact they're on par with a Civic. However I would like too add that if I had a Z I 'd probably look into another Z with winter tires..just my opinion matey.

I think the premium package is worth it. The cost difference was not that bad.

Hey brit, if you rank the G on the same level as Civic, then your opinon is as crappy as your knowlege. One has to be a moron to suggest that he buys ANOTHER Z with winter tires!!!

Re: Should I get a G35 Sedan

That was a pretty retarded post Britishbloke. Why would he buy another Z with winter tires, when he could just buy winter tires for his current Z and call it a day?

BTW, both the Civic and G35 are not crap. Maybe you're thinking of your Chevy.

On the serious (not to mention intelligent) side, the G35X s/b a great winter alternative to the Z for obvious reasons. Another option (but cheaper) is the 2005 Altima 3.5SE (current) or SE-R (upcoming).

2002 Maxima SE (auto)

- Falken Ziex ZE-512s (definite mod)
- Cattman Y-pipe

Re: Should I get a G35 Sedan

The G35 RWD sedan is pretty bad in the winter. I couldn;t go anywhere ror get up my driveway, but that was on stock tires. I will get winter tires on for this winter in NY, but havent tried it so cant say for sure. I cant imagine it would make that much difference but I dont care, I just look forward to the summer . GEt the G35X if your that worried, its still a great, classy, fun car. Martin

Re: Should I get a G35 Sedan

Gents, methinks I was joking before. Perhaps it's my british sense of humour? I am the proud owner of a 2004 G35S and obvioulsy when I suggested he buy "another Z with winter tires", if you thought I was being serious then maybe you are serious people.

Have you tried Blizzaks on the Z, I've heard they do pretty well actually...at least from my memory when I had my Z (but I live in TX.)
