Exclamation *HELP* Headlight Bulb Issue

My passenger side low beam used to blink, sometimes not turn on until I turn the lights off then on again, and now it stopped working. I figured it was the bulb itself and not the ballast, so I uninstalled it. I searched the D2R bulb on the internet and I noticed that I couldn't find anything OEM that matched what I was looking for so I am starting to think that this was an aftermarket mod. Since I bought the car at an auction, I'm not sure of its history, but things have been modded on it previously. See the picture below of the bulb and if someone could tell me where I can get a replacement I would appreciate it. I can't find it ANYWHERE! I can only find the bulb themselves without the wiring that seems to be soldered to the bulb harness. I did some more research and realized that the wiring is called the adapter, and apparently this particular bulb has the adapter attached. Is it possible to buy an adapter and bulb? Are the ballast inputs universal?

Thanks a lot, any help would be appreciated.

I think the bulbs are all you're going to get. Don't know what the PO did there. Maybe someone with more experience will be of more help.

That is a weird setup to me....

but, from what you said it sounds like your bulb is just going/gone out.

Buy some replacements, you can get the D2C bulbs which work great

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/D2S-D...Q5fAccessories

thats something similar to what I got and it has worked great for me

I wonder if the original owner put a HID kit into a set of Halogen headlights. That's definately not OEM.

If you have the headlights out, can you snap a pic of under the headlight itself...where the ballast should be

I uploaded a picture of the ballast. I also found the replacement bulb that I need. I still would like to know if I am able to hook those replacement bulbs into my ballast.

Yeah, thats an aftermarket kit. From the link you showed, it comes complete with the harness also. Looks like you can just replace the whole harness? It has to connect back to the ballast to be able to run the HID bulbs.
