G35X - Stillen Exhaust update

A couple of months ago there was a buzz about Stillen working on an exhaust for our G35X. I just spoke to Adam at Stillen and as I suspected, they haven't been able to locate a car. If they were here in the Garden State they'd have mine in a minute. So come on, anyone on the West Coast? He said they'd need the car just for a day. You'd get a good discount! Contact Adam Hume:

if you have an x and you want an exhaust it could be done. i bought a stillen exhaust for the sedan, brought it to a good shop and for 300 dollars in labor plus 90 dollars in stainless steel piping they made it fit. they cut up the x pipe and made it fit around the transfer case. there is no loss of performance or anything like that.

having the x we are also at a loss for sway bars, ts ecu reflash and i believe coilovers. if i remember correctly the front suspension on our cars is of the fx model so no luck there. its also a pain in the **** to put on headers because of the awd system being in the way. took 8 hours on my car.

anyone live in the new york area i could recommend the GREAT shop if your going to go through with the exhaust and you want it done the right.

Guys...I'm the process of having MY car used as a prototype for a performance "Y" pipe by a well-known performance tuner in NJ. They want to know how many possible buyers would be out there. The "Y" is where the money is! The coupe middy works fine, and as for the assortment of brand name end pipes...for the most part, they are for sound and appearance only. PLEASE get back to me here or by PM. Pass this imfo. around if you'd be so kind. I know there's a bunch of power starved X's here in the No. East. JBX

I might be up for a new Y pipe if it doesn't make the car louder. I have a UT polished Z tube and K&N drop in and it is pretty loud under WOT, which is fine. The good thing is that it isn't loud with normal driving. I am also thinking of the coupe mid pipe as long as it doesn't make the car terribly loud. My Maxima with the HKS on it was a little louder than I liked, but I dealt with it. With the G, I want to maintain a more factory-like exhaust tone with a LITTLE growl.

I'd be interested in one of the Y pipes, assuming the cost isn't prohibitive, and it isn't too loud.

I'm in southeastern CT, and I'd also be willing to do what you're doing now, i.e. a bit of "beta" testing if you need another test car.

Yeah, but unfortunately they didn't update any of the part information in that listing. I wish I had more specific info, but what I'm told is that it's a new exhaust w/ different mufflers/resonators, so it's supposed to be more quiet than the current setup, etc....
They're putting the initial kits together now, I already have a few on the way....

I just talked to Adam. For those interested, it's still the dual tips and it's been toned down a bit. The resonators are slightly different (larger). Now if Technosquare would step up to the plate....
