(16)I had a 2004 Mazda B3000- great truck, picked it up from a family member for cheap I sold the truck for a small car
(17)then I got a 2007 Scion tC- girly car but very reliable and got good gas millage, I sold this car to get into something that wasnt so damn girly
(17)then I got into a 1997 honda civic- I loved this car, got 40+mpg with basic bolt ons, but I hated the fact that It was a Honda, so I sold it
(18)Then I got a 2004 Z71 Chevrolet Tahoe, I still have this one. I did Ford torsion keys and had the transmission rebuilt
(18)Then I got a 98 Lexus GS300, I drove to Houston late at night and got the car.. I liked it until a couple days later all of the dash lights came on (o2 sensors and abs sensors) and the rear main seal started to leak, I bought BC racing coilovers for it but decided the car was too much of a headache so i sold it
(19)My brother and I bought a white s14 240sx with a ka, for $800 and sold it for a couple grand.
(19)Then I got a s13 coupe and did a sr20 with bolt ons, this was my biggest money pit yet. I sold it for not even 1/4 of what i put into it. I just didn't have time for it.. I wish I held onto it.
(19)Then I drove the Tahoe for about 10 months, before buying my g35. Ill hold onto this one atleast until I finish school.
I have many of these to get me from A to B also

It always surprises me how many 18,19,20 year olds come through here. And a lot with the G as the first car. WTF are your parents thinking? or maybe they're not around? I dunno, but this car has way too much power, and RWD, for a kid. It's just dumb. Your first car should NOT be a bloody 260+ RWD luxury car. It's just not intellegent thinking.

It's all about the prices.
Not much of a difference between parents buying kids brand new economy cars such as Honda Civics, Corollas, Kia's, etc. and a G35 coupe.
In fact, a used G35 tends to be cheaper than a new civic.
So in fact, those kids driving brand new Prius's/Civics/Kia's are the spoiled ones. you just don't notice them, because they're driving typical "economy" cars.
Hell, I can get a used 350z for like $9500. That's half the price of a honda civic.

A Civic costs MUCH less to fix, maintain, put gas in, put tires/brakes on, etc, etc. Also insurance plays in.
As well, you always wreck your first car to some degree, this is perfectly normal, heck, you're learing the very basics of how to drive, let alone how to mod or maintain the car, even checking the oil may be new to most of these first timers.
We all started somewhere, but a RWD 260+ HP torquey as heck luxury car is NOT a smart way to start, regardelss of the cost.
I can buy a beat up Impala with a ballsy V8 for next to nothing, and without torque steer and understeer experience, I'll be crashing that car, just a matter of time.
Very pretty lady in the pic though

1st Age 15 1978 Jeep Cherokee Sport w/ 360ci big block - Bright Blue - fun to drive but it got tired and unreliable.
2nd Age 16 1997 Saturn SC2 - Silver - wrecked when a guy decided to blow through a stop sign.
3rd Age 18 2001 Saturn SC2 - Yellow - got me through college and working until a Buick stopped way too fast for me.
4th Age 26 2006 G35 Coupe - Lakeshore Slate - present to myself for paying off college loans. Yes, it was off lease and in my price range!
*5th Age 27 2002 Saturn SC2 - Red - replaced the yellow Saturn. It was either replace the yellow Saturn with another cheap car for commuting or get rid of the G and I was too fond of the G to do that quiet yet!
I'm not a Saturn nut but they've been good to me... and I drive waaaay too much to drive the G every day.
