Not intending to resurrect an old thread, but with only 10 hp difference, it makes sense that the coupe would be even slower because of the extra chassis reinforcement (weight) and heavy wheels (19").
Drivers make much more of a difference, though........ I like my chances in my 97 Maxima against most folks.

^^^ 10 hp difference? year for year they were the exact same engine - one never put out more hp than the other... however, I'm convinced the ECU on sedans were de-tuned (compared to Z and coupe)... but most ppl interested in performance have the ECU reflashed anyway, so that really doesnt even come into play.

1) even if the coupe had 10 hp more, you wouldn’t "feel" it riding in your buddies car
2) the coupe does not have more power - its the same exact engine. What would make you think it has more power?
Where do some of you guys get these ideas?
The only differences in Gs engines are DE non-revup, DE revup, HR and VHR... whether its in a sedan or coupe its the same engine = same power...
Obviously adding certain mods and tuning changes everything - but engine for engine they are they same no matter what car you put them in.

dude 227 is not really low with the mods u have. Im getting peak 256 i believe. so thats an additonal 25-30 hp from ur car. Remem i have headers, hfc, and a tune, and a stillen gen 2, and a spacer. lol. All of these mods provide proven gains. I have a bunch of smaller things as well which dont really matter too much. Get some test pipes dude, the single best NA mod. for the price, u cant go wrong with it.
