Sedans are as fast as coupes. go and tune

ok...just googled it. The auto's have 280 and the 6mt's have 298hp. Since my buddies coupe is an auto like mine, it must have just been my imagination that his car "felt" faster. I agree that even if he did have 10hp more, I wouldn't feel that. Cars just seem to feel more impressive when you are sitting in the passenger seat.

But engine for engine (as stated earlier) whether its a DE non-rev-up, rev-up, HR, VHR... they are THE SAME ENGINE whether you put them in a sedan, a coupe, or a Z. Put them on an engine dyno and they will read the same.
It sounds to me like the MT you reference has a rev-up and the sedan is non rev-up... BTW, the 280 claimed hp is the same engine that previously was reported 260... just Nissan Marketing voodoo...

You guys are getting your brains scrambled here... compare cars with the SAME ENGINE.
Comparing cars with different engines and saying one body style is faster makes absolutely NO SENSE

I used to have TS and was pleased... for early model DEs that don’t have Osiris option, I highly recommend TS... even for late models its still a good choice (but I favor Osiris).

I've said the same thing in about 5 posts now.
You guys need to read up on these engines - there are plenty of sources on this and many other forums.

Oh gee, my bad. I'm sorry that I couldn't properly sort through 3 pages of b.s. and that my answer, information coming from several sites, wasn't correct when it should have been. Simply trying to help and not owning one of these cars (as of now), it would be a waste of my time to read up further on the engine.

Not intending to resurrect an old thread, but with only 10 hp difference, it makes sense that the coupe would be even slower because of the extra chassis reinforcement (weight) and heavy wheels (19").
Drivers make much more of a difference, though........ I like my chances in my 97 Maxima against most folks.

Personal preference. Coupes do have the ability for more visual mods, but some, like myself prefer sedans. People underestimate sedans...when you got a beefed up a sedan, and it looks stock, aka sleeper, it's quite a shock to those you are looking at in your rear view mirror and doing a little
