Newbie needs some help

Hey guys, just got an 05 G35 Premium Package with 100k on it. Great car so far but i need some help in terms of buttons and such. I have been using the search for a few days but have been unable to find what i want.

#1 Can i pair up my phone with the car, does it have bluetooth or is that only the 06 version
#2 Is there a manual somewhere that explains all the different buttons inside the car and what they do. I have the manual but that is all technical stuff. For ex, the pty/cty button close to the radio...no idea what that is.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

If you take a better look at the manual, you will find explanation of what the buttons are for. I just got my 05 and went straight to the manual for these exact answers.

My rear gap is about as much as this picture's front gap.

I like the ride height of the Z/Coupe springs, but the rear is still lower than the front. What if I went with just Coupe spring in the front and stock rear? Or what if I went with Z springs in the front and stock rear? I know I should search but I'm hoping off the top of someone's head they would know if the spring rates would be compatible.

Thanks for everyone's help.

PS. I was behind a black 06 twice tonight. Man I love those tails! I'm so envious!!!

My future mods would be Nismo aero kit, trunk lip spoiler, 06 tails and, and maybe blacked out bezels.

From what I have seen, Z springs in the front and coupe springs in the rear work very well together and leave the rear a little higher than the front so if you have a stereo or any weight back there it will sit even.

First off, do you have the intellikey? From what I understand about the options on the sedans that year, if you have bluetooth, you have the intellikey, and the same vice versa. And if you have a 6MT, you won't have the bluietooth option either.

Bluetooth was not available on the 05's, just the 06's.

The PTY/CAT button is satellite related. PTY is Program Type and CAT is Category Type. If you have satellite radio, then read the manual. If you don't, then don't worry about them.

New here 04 sedan rwd

First I would like to say that I like the sound of the g35 now but wouldn't mind making it a liitle more agressive. I'm looking to add my first mod and need help with choosing.
The jwt with z tube seems to be most popuar but I was also interested in the Stillen intake with z tube kit. On the parts page it says it add 11 hp to the sedan but on a previous response i saw only 2hp. What about the copper plenum spacer? Does it change the sound and what about the difference of the 5/16th and 1/2".

Forget what Stillen's website says, the HP numbers are always inflated by a manufacturer. The JWT will give you a different intake note, but a simple OEM Z-Tube/K&N Filter also changes the intake note, especially above 3500 RPM, and it'll give you as much boost as any other intake system short of FI (for half the price of the Stillen). The stock airbox is pretty efficient as is.

For the spacers, check out Motordyne's website (www.motordyneengineering.com), they've got some nice dyno's showing the various spacers. BTW, the spacers aren't copper, they're aluminum. There is a Copper ISO upgrade to either of MD's spacers. It heats the throttle body directly instead of the plenum. Either spacer is good, the 1/2 inch will give you more power at the top end, but at the expense of low end torque. The 5/16ths gives you a little less top end without the low end loss, so it's probably the better all-around choice.

^^^ Thanks Buckeye, the 5/16th sound like the way to go. Also thanks for the info on the different intakes.

The Plenum Spacer also adds quite a bit of induction noise, or at least I thought it did.

For anyone with an 03-04 sedan, I HIGHLY recommend the 05-06 airbox swap. I did it, and LOVE it. It really brought out the induction sound, along with a drop in filter and plenum spacer.

Here's the thread about it:
