yeap thats the only way, its a pita if you are trying to double din or install a pac system or whatever you are trying to do. The hardest part is the clock

Thats the only way. Its really not that bad. I can take it all apart in 15 min.

I've had to take mine apart 3 times now and I'm about to do it a 4th. It's not that hard.
