Damn rock!
Damn rock!
Well, the inevitable finally happened. After about 3 months of ownership, my car finally received its first large scratch. Two to be exact.
Here's the story. My son and I were coming back from an all Mustang car show (very nice by the way) and were on the highway heading home. My son was cruising along when a Land Cruiser from NY came flying by us and then slowed down as we entered a construction zone. He was literally bumper to bumper with us. So my son starts to slow down so that he was not next to the huge SUV. He is almost behind the Land Cruiser when all of a sudden there is a very loud slam right against the driver side door. I look over and my son has a really discerning look on his face and I knew something got damaged.
Well, we get home and we see not one, but two very deep scratches about an inch below the driver side window, with one also leaving a dent in the door. Of course, we both let out a long line of curse words that would make Robert De Niro uncomfortable. But at least it hit the door instead of hitting my son who had his window down at the time.
So now I have to find a Dent Wizard and some touch up paint. I am not happy.

Re: Damn rock!
Sorry to hear about the rock damage. You have your priorities right though. You are both unscathed and ready for a new outing. It would tear me up if my G35X was hit with a rock but I don't have precious pieces of my life riding with me.
Happy to own my G35X
