OMG...no offense to anyone but that looks and sounds like a glorified fart can on a civic. It's just horrible IMO.

I always wonder why people post their negative opinions about mods…

Edit: before this turns into an off topic debate - I will clarify.

If a guy has a mod that is cr@p and no one ever comments on it - it goes away and is worthless as indicated by lack of interest.

If a guy has a mod and is worthwhile, more than one person realizes the same and it draws interest - and it has attention.

If a worthwhile mod that more than one person realizes finds a way to draw attention... where does that leave the lonely negative comment and what is the value? I don’t know how others read it, but I start thinking: jealousy, inferiority, or some other complex... A "poll" or other request for opinion is different - but I have always been perplexed by the random "it sux" post in threads like this.

Chill out rs. Tony is a great guy, and has done a lot for us on driver. You should be appreciative of what he does, he's not your b*tch. Please understand these vendors are on multiple boards in addition to running their everyday businesses.

Thanks Tony for everything, we've got your back........

maybe I should've been a bit more tactful with my comments. So I apologize if I touched a nerve...that wasn't my intention.

However, I was simply stating my personal opinion of the product and not about anyone's car. Anytime a thread is posted, it is subject to praise or criticism from thousands of readers on the board. I'm sure I've done things to my car over the years that make some people roll their eyes but to me it's just the best.

Well as soon as I can get a hold of my camera this morning, I'll upload more videos so you guys can hear the Resonated VQ setup, and stop complaining. To me, it sounds stock, but i also had that loud unresonated midpipe for two weeks beforehand so I don't remember what stock sounds like . Honestly, if you're looking at getting this exhaust, don't be cheap, upgrade to the resonated midpipe, and I think I'm going to be getting the XYZ pipe soon, since my cats are about to rust off.

So the resonated midpipe sounds much better to me than the unresonated, and here's a couple of videos to prove it.

Tunnel shot with moderately quick takeoff

And it will sound even better once you get the XYZ on it.

In every system I've tried with the XYZ pipe Vs the stock Y pipe, the XYZ always sounds better. Its not just that the XYZ primaries are larger but I think it has to so with the gradual transition of the primaries to 3" diameter outlet to the aftermarket midpipe.

With the stock midpipe at 2.5", there is a sudden expansion at the 3" diameter midpipe. This sudden expansion not only creates refractory waves in the pipes, it also causes reflections of the reversion waves. That in turn sets up standing waves or nodes in the midpipe and this is noticed as rasp.

But then again, its fairly common knowledge that sudden expansions or contractions are not good for sound quality or performance. When the flow system is smooth and continuous, as in a full system with the XYZ, it sounds best.

Can you take a picture of how low the muffler sits from a side view?

+1 - but I need to see how far the tips stick out... I'm having a rear valance molded in and I dont think the Stillen tips come out far enough for what I plan.

Got pics?

I do have some, but not good ones. I'll go shoot some more in a minute and post em up for you

And yeah, I knew that it wasn't going to sound the best without an XYZ, but I wanted to do this in chunks, didn't have the money to do it all at once.
