Clear coat bubbles
If you do take it to get it fixed DO NOT WAX it before taking it in, or even a few months before you take it in. The clear has delaminated and the wax will absorb more into the basecoat and create alota problems for the bodyman...

G/L with the fix.
P.S. Hook 'em Horns!!!
That you know of. Even buying first hand from a dealer, if they scratch it in shipping or handling, the dealer will repaint it and never tell you. If you know anyone with a paint depth gauge, you could check it.
I agree with the Cowboy. I worked on my car yesterday and used the all in one (ZAIO) and the clear seal (ZCS) and the car looks amazing. It's the first time I have seen reflections of the Infiniti lettering on the back bumper and I used to wax every 4 weeks. I still haven't figured out how to post pics, or I would be able to show you how it looks.

Even if you're the original owner, that doesn't mean it hasn't been repainted. Even if you didn't wax even once, the clear shouldn't fail like that.
Try pulling back the rubber seal on the windshield, sunroof, rear window and along the roof. See if you can see signs of a repait. ie..tape lines, overspray etc...

Yup I'm the original owner. Just another thing to add to the list that I need to fix or I have already gotten fixed and car is not under warranty anymore.
Replaced: valve covers (I saw the first thread about this 6 months after my warranty expired) ... Need to fix: front bumper.... sigh.....

Sorry to hijack your thread David. Back to the topic.....
That's salt damage, never seen it on a Cali car but it is very likely to happen if you live near the ocean.
Do you wash the car right after it rains, how long does it sit dirty? The roof is kind of a spot for water to pool so it probably sat there and just ate away. This happens in Canada all the time when dirty snow sits on your car. it collects so much road salt it's gross.

Collinite 845 Insulator wax ($12-14 per bottle and bottle will give you about 10 waxes)... detergent, salt, solvent, road grime, air pollutant, bug fluids, bird droppings, ultraviolet rays, bullet and kryptonite proof. Read reviews on Epinions or talk to people who really know wax. It will easily survive 1 year outside, still bead up, shine and protect... even if you failed to wash the car.
I've used it on 4 cars, each with >400K miles and >15 years old apiece, and the paint still is remarkable.
