I have an 05 g35x and I hate it when it slows my car down when I hit a corner hard or take off fast my handy little slip light comes on. Is there anyway to disable this feature so I can really run my car????

read your car manual then come back and answer your question. i don't understand how people drive their cars and dont ever glance at their manual. next you'll be asking what this (!) means
Wow, I guess I was sooooo out of line??? Sorry I will not ask questions here. So sorry to bother you.

There is a button below the steering wheel on the left, next to the boot release button. It has VDC written on it. Ignore the numpty who is doing his best to be unhelpful.

I am fairly new to the site and owning a g35. I was under impression that the traction control button would only allow to turn off the snow option and not the full traction control. Everyone seemed nice here, so I asked a question. I didn't think I was going to get reemed but hey.

Welcome to the forum, NOOB. Just kidding...congratulations on landing a G35. You'll find 50% of people here are ******, 40% are somewhat helpful, and 10% are utter postwhores.Originally Posted by gbreeze

The snow function is a different button down by your right knee. The VDC button (vehicle dynamic control) is by your left knee and is traction control and yaw control. It senses if you are driving like an A-hole and gets you back in line by applying brake, modulating the AWD and reducing throttle. WHen you switch it off, it raises the limits of what sets the VDC off and gets the car back under control.
Despite what a lot say, the AWD doesn't engage when the VDC light comes on. AWD is always engaged *at some level* and is computer controlled. There is no indicator as to when the vehicle is in AWD and when it switches to RWD. It's all done by the computer. And if you dont beleive me that the AWD isn't active unless the VDC light goes on....go try to do a burnout.
