Question Mysterious beeps

Hi,

I own and love my new ride - G35 sedan. It's hardly 6 months old having done just under 10k KM. I have had some queries and would to like to have your inputs on them:

1. The mysterious beep - while driving there are these beeps that sound, there does not seem to be a mechanical impact as there is no indication on the drivers console or the center console. This has happened for some time now, is there something to be worried about here?

2. The rpm climbs like mad - from a stand still regardless of the acceleration the rpm climbs to 4 while the speedometer gradually increases! I try and slow this pace but then have to bear the honking from other road users behind me! Any idea, why is it like this and if i need to get this checked with the dealer.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

clean your Throttle Body thats probably one reason why it jumps like that, I had the same problem, cleaned it out and the problem was gone. mysterious beep now thats something I wouldn't know, the only Beep I get is my scanner and if my tire pressure is low then it will beep and throw a TMPS light

Thank you Tyco for the inputs. I relayed the suggestion to the dealership and they came back to me saying that their analytic software - CONSULTANT III screams "TOP UP G-TRONIC OIL". I haven't been able to notice any change right off, but expect to know the difference in ride quality further down the week, will keep you posted!
The beep could have been the tire pressure, since it did get quite hot and it can play a bit with the pressure, i suppose.

I just got the 10K service done - covered under warranty. It's great to live with a car like the G35!

That sounds like your transmission is slipping to me based on what you said.

giving the slip?

Mustang, not too sure if that's the problem - but after the service the rpm is in harmony with speed.

On another note, My dad drives the less popular NISSAN SUNNY 1.3L, which gives this wild jerk when the automatic gear shifts from the second into third. though it's not as violent as my dad's car there are instances where I could swear my car was choking on a fur ball during transmissions. Since the dealership didn't cough up that diagnosis, i'm to assume that the slip is not that much of a problem. I'm just getting to know the dynamics of driving the G...is this slipping phenomena a solvable problem?

Well trans slip is usually caused by low or aging fluid. It could also be the sign of a trans issue depending on the design of the trans. It could be a broken spring or valve causing high line pressure on the shift.

A trans specialist would be the one to consult for that
