I like driving them. Fun cars. My friend has a 98 Regal GS. Its damn quick.
yeah the regal GS is a straight up SLEEPER. You pull up next to one of those thinking its a grandpa car, but they can move out for very cheap.

My previous car was a regal gs...cue the vid

Now with that said...the car was very well built and with the GM police suspension upgrades it handled pretty good. Mine had a smaller pulley, 1.7 rockers, SLP Headers - 3" exhaust, 3200 stall converter, Aftermarket Limited Slip Diff, CAI, larger sways front and rear, big brake kit, and aftermarket ecu. I even ran a little nitrous through the motor for a few months for fun! I traded the car in with 160,000 well used miles on it. I in all honesty miss that car alot. It was just time to move on so I purchased the G which is far ahead in terms of fit, finish, and ride quality. I feel that from a stop the buick would murder the G..and from a roll I would give the nod the the G.

If you do ever run a GTP or Regal from a roll..try and stay above 40 mph as if they have the aftermarket ecu it allow a 1st gear downshift under 40 mph. Just like my car in the vid!

i remember when my buddy got the DHP PCM for his GP, that raised the 1st gear downshift. Now that he bought a tuner, he is constantly tuning. If you know what you are doing you can tune the L67 to run pretty respectable times even on a stock pulley.

Here is a video of my cluster in my GTP when I turboed it. This video was with an open exhaust and at 17psi. My 12.6@111mph was with the stock exhaust and 14psi. The difference was night and day ( it litterally felt like a 75 shot of nitrous ).

I banged the rev limiter...hehehe. Also notice that the cluster is not pontiac red...blue cluster overlay FTW! LOL...

that thing pulls. Only thing i hate about the 3800 is the sound of the exhaust.
