So I know what I am doing with my exhuaust!
wow.....i learn something new everytime i hit this forum!lol
long story short, i have an OB 2003 g35 sedan with 29k miles that i am gonna be daily driving due to my uncle staying overseas.
i threw 350z springs on it and a coupe midpipe. I have my HR y-pipe sitting in the garage right now, does that perform better and bolt up just fine? if so, i will bolt it up tomorrow.
soon will be an intake spacer/ztube/jwt pop charger/ and maybe coupe rear springs due to the softness of the 350z springs out back

Anyways, should have a video up tonight, hopefully going to sound good.
Can anyone give me a diagram or basic idea how the resonator in the coupe mid pipe is routed?
Read this: https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-...w-updates.html
Holy negative camber!
How many miles on your tires now & how does the inside look?
I was thinking about deleting my resonator as well. I tried searching for sound clips of a deleted resonator with the stock muffler remaining, but I couldn't find any. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the clips? From what I've read, it's raspy until the cats warm up -- something I think I could live with.
for the people that say that a straight pipe setup with no resonators sounds like crap. heres some info about my setup.
1. it is LOUD at WOT(ive owned/driven louder cars in CA and have had no problems). if its not your thing, then i suggest you do not go this route.
2. the exhaust does have some rasp when it is COLD. once it is warm, there really isnt any rasp. it barely drones at freeway speeds
3. you control the sound with you right foot. if you dont accelerate like a mad man through every gear, i guarantee that this setup is not anymore louder than a HKS muffler. i have driven in other cars next to my car with the windows down, and if you just drive normally, you barely even hear the exhaust(and no i am not deaf). this is how i have NEVER been hassled by a cop for my exhaust
4. if anyone is the bay area is interested, you are more than welcome to meet up with me and listen to the exhaust and take a ride in the vehicle. it sounds a lot better than it does in the video(cheap microphones in video cameras=fail)
5. is it legal? probably not. but i guess this is where having friends who are cops come into play...especially in CA
to the OP,
so what did you decide to do with your setup?

theres about 5k on the tires right now and still plenty of tread left. i commute ~50-100 miles per day and the car gets driven hard also. there really isnt THAT much camber in the rear, but my justification of a little may be different from yours(im probably around -2 degrees). remember though, TOE kills tires

Nate, resonated straight through race muffler from magnflow in place of the mid pipe.
It didn't come in today
so I will have to wait until tomorrow.
BTW, did you paint your emblems or order them?

I will for sure, should be done by tomorrow night. Might just be crappy ones off my powershot but when I get some time I'll get some quality recordings done.
