I've got ~3 threads to go in the rear, front can still be dropped a bit more.

won't work on an "X"... totally different mounting design... this is one of the "this sucks" about owning an "X".. no aftermarket support on suspension mods... unless ya wanna drop major $$ on BC Coilovers.. that's it no shock upgrade kits from the major players (Koni, Bilstein..etc..) KYB has a gas strut.. but I heard bad stuff on it as far as reliability.

How low do you want to go? Do you have sport or non-sport OEM shocks?

You can get tein s techs but you might have to buy some new shocks because the stock shocks might not last to long with a 2 inch drop thats all. kyb shocks on tirerack.com are priced pretty cheap rite now.

i would just like to confirm, i will be ordering suspension hopefully within the next month...i'm definitely going with coilovers (learned my lesson with my prelude) i would like to keep the set up around 1k, not counting any control arms or any additional components...i've had my eye on BC racing, and pretty set on it...just wanted to see if anyone had any input on them...dont really do any rough driving, this is my DD that i will occasionally have some fun with...just want a smooth comfortable ride, and to able to drop as low as i can go while still maintaining comfort..thanks

I have tein basics for a Z on mine and its a very smooth ride and I use to ride around on a 4" drop. I put bc's on snoops car and they seemed way too rough for a DD for me

What were the dampening settings on the BCs? How much of a drop?

I tried different variations with the dampening and the preload and height. But it was around 3" drop or so I mean most people wont mind it but for me I need my car smoother bc the highway is bumpy down here and I don't wanna be rattling my teeth at 75 mph
