Gear Selector is locked...need help asap

I removed the console and radio last night to replace the radio circuit board and after reinstalling everything, the gear selector remained locked. THe only way I can shift out of park is by using the "key release" function.

Is there anything specific I need to inspect and/or that might be causing this? When the key is turned to the "on" position, and when I press on the brake, I can hear the clicking sound (relay) to release the selector, but I don't believe it's doing anything. Everything worked just fine before I tore into the car, so I am stumped as to what might be the problem. the last thing i want to do is drop it off at the stealer.

Any thoughts?

Where is the connector? I don't recall ever unplugging anything around the area and don't see anything unplugged. Isn't there a fuse for the "shift Lock" relase mechanism? The relay is working when I apply the brake, but nothing happens with the Shift Lock.

After doing a search, it looks like my problem might very well be due to a blown "Shift Lock" fuse. Any idea where the fuse is located? Is it a dedicated fuse locally or is it in the fuse box in the cabin or under the hood?
