Re: me vs altima 3.5

That's great. I had driven an Altima 3.5 when they first came out and felt felt very fast at the time. Lots o' torque steer, but still fun. However, the G seems to just want to keep going and go harder the faster it goes. Feels like my friend's 528, only faster.

I also drove my friend's brand new TL. The interior just plain rocks, but I don't like the seats and it does drive like a fast Accord, complete with bumpy suspension. It was pretty fast and very smooth all the way through the gears, but it wasn't that fast. I like it, but I'm glad I've got my car.

Re: me vs altima 3.5

I really liked the altima when we test drove one when we were looking for my gf's mom. There is some torque steer if you really get on it, but for the average person (particularly one used to the average car) they probably won't even notice, and the car will probably seem like a rocket compared to many grocery getters out there. The big smooth power of the vq is great.

Thanks for the feedback..
Sorry to hijack this thread, but ....
I'm going to have to get something for her soon & since I'll likely end up behind the wheel at times, I'd love to get something with the VQ

Re: me vs altima 3.5

I owned a 2002 Altima 3.5 SE. Very nice car, had things I wish the G had ,Telescoping Steering wheel, fold down rear seats, computer for MPG, Time traveled etc. It also had two things that I'm glad the G does not have, torque steer and a terrible glare on the windshield from the dash.

Re: me vs altima 3.5

It will be interesting to see how the stock 03/04 G's will do against the Altima SE-R now that it has 6speeds and 260hp - don't know the torque rating. Any opinions?
