Best Shocks\Struts for 04 Sedan

Hey all. My 04 Sedan is at 80k miles and after noticing the back end taking bumps with a big thud I looked and saw that the rear strut is covered in oil so I think it's dead. I have been looking at replacement options. I just want stock ride. I don't want to spend a ton of money on it.. I am looking at these options.. What's your opinion?

KYB GR2 $380 set of 4
Bilstein HD $750 set of 4

Any other ideas?

Buy Z suspension, can be had for less than $200 and gives you a nice easy 1" drop.

Tokico HP (blues) is close to stock and is the same price as the KYB. I believe Tokico makes the stock shocks.

Do you plan on lowering your car? If you do, you may as well lower when they change the shocks since the front suspension will be out. Why pay them to take it apart twice.

I did Tokico HP for a 350z with 07 z springs, I like the ride. It is much firmer than the stock sport suspension and not for those that want pure comfort.

Hey, Just Fyi , i noticed you had quoted $380 for the KYB GR2's, i was looking around and noticed that tirerack.com is running a sale with 10% of KYB struts, i have a G35x and the total price from tirerack came to about $275 i think with shipping so i just wanted to let you know of a cheaper price, if you just google g35 struts a lot of online vendors come up but i think thats the cheapest i could find.

With all the cheap/lightly used coupe/z shocks/spring available, it makes no real sense to pay that much for the KYB non-adjust (which IMHO suck) or for the Bilsteins (which are nice but $$!).

I have a set of coupe shocks just sitting here unused (as I went with Konis). About 20-25k on them. PM me if interested.

Can the ones you have be used on the g35x? i was thinking of doing z springs up front and coupe in the back, but i get confused with what the difference is between coupe all around and the z front and coupe rear. Also isnt the strut and the spring two different parts?

AWDs use a diff front shock design. You guys have a hard time for aftermarkets. Best to read the sticky thread above.
