The tools should be in the wheel well.

The jack needs to be unscrewed (loosened) in order to come out, it's jacked up against the two walls. Turn the thing you would turn to jack the car up.

Mine are in a foam insert that's part of the fiberboard on top of the spare. It's got cut-outs that each tool fits in. Pretty cool, though I'm easily impressed.

Really? Mine didn't come with anything like that, but I do have a full sized spare, would that matter? Damn, I want a foam cutout!!!

I'll try to remember to take a couple of pics tomorrow and post them up. It won't be until tomorrow evening since I have to work. Maybe yours is different because you have an X

Or maybe if you have a full size spare? I have the foam cutout too for my tools and I have the tiny spare.

My jack was also in the cubby on the left side of the trunk (I never liked the way it fit, so now mine is in the well). The tools were in a black pouch buried deep in the rear quarter, a pain to get to and not visible. Hopefully yours will be in the same spot.
