cost of tpms reset

how much are they @ the dealership? any ideas?

Wow, they're ripping you off, yes it was done at the dealership both times. Maybe they think you need new TPMS sensors? No reason it should cost that much.

i bought a 18'inch g35 sports wheels and to re-program the tpms, various dealership quoted me $100+

If they're 2007+ sedan sport rims I think you'll need new TPMS, new gen TPMS aren't backwards compatible

it should only be one half hour labor charge for pre 07 cars.find out the labor rate and hours they charge for the job and do the math.

i believe the wheels are 05 or below.

if you're a good customer, they'll do it for free. especially if you've had recent work done (I'd say within 7-10 days).

I have them reset the TPMS everytime I have them rotate/balance. They do not charge me extra when I do this. This is at a Nissan dealership also.

I bought it since it was cheap...but i haven't tried it out.

Last two times my dealer reset my light, it came back the next day. Funny thing was it was at the SAME EXACT spot that it came on the first time and the two times they reset it for me. I feel stupid asking them to keep fixing it, so i want to reset it myself.
